As the 2026 HSBC LIV Golf Hong Kong tournament brought the ultimate golf and lifestyle experience to the city , CEO Scott O’Neil defines the city as a strategic 「gateway」 for Asian expansion. In a panel moderated by Sean Fitzpatrick, O’Neil joined players Ian Poulter and Paul Casey to discuss the league’s maturation, including the transition to a 72-hole format.
A primary milestone is the landmark title partnership with HSBC. Lok Yim, regional head of Asia-Pacific for HSBC Private Bank, emphasised the collaboration’s role in connecting entrepreneurial wealth through shared passions.
While O’Neil noted the 「institutional weight」 HSBC provides, golf veterans Ian Poulter and Paul Casey praised the historic venue’s technical demands and the vibrant, modern energy of the local galleries.
